The Kings Church
The Kings Church
Jesus said, "I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of."
John 10:10 MSG
What can I expect?
Our Family Service begins at 11am and ends around 12:30pm.
Free tea, coffee etc are available from 10.15 - 10.45am and for another half an hour after the end of the service.
Our creche operates from 10.45am until the end of the service and is for those 6 months to 3 years. The creche is located downstairs, so please ask one of our Hosting Team for directions. We may ask for some limited information (contact details, allergies etc) which is only for use in an emergency. You may stay with you child until they are settled and you would be expected to collect them in person at the end of the service.
This is for those aged from 3. The kids are usually released downstairs after a couple of worship songs although on your first visit we suggest you go down with them to provide us with some contact information etc.
This is for those in the P7 - S6 age range, and operates from just before the message to the end of the service, where the activities and Bible related discussions are more appropriate to their age and interests.

Vision & Values
The ongoing vision of The Kings Church is:
We believe our vision reflects Jesus' teaching on what the greatest of God's commandments are, and we trust that everything we
do at The Kings is based on the heartbeat of "Love God, Love People, Love Life".
To help us do that, we agreed some behavioural principles to guide us in the way we relate to each other. We believe that these are principles found in The Bible, and these are displayed around the church building to remind us that we have agreed to uphold these four values simultaneously.
History & Culture
The Kings is an independent church, which has been well established in the Lanarkshire area for over 30 years.
Over that time we have grown into the multi-racial, multi-generational church that we are today which allows people from all backgrounds to come together to relate to God and to each other.
Our leadership is based on teamwork, with responsibility for the spiritual wellbeing of the church resting with our Overseers team, and our team of Trustees looking after the legal and financial side of the church. These teams work together to provide the overall leadership of the church.
Similarly, other areas of the church are also based on a team approach, including the communication of Sunday messages, worship teams, kids and youth ministries etc, which allows us to use the gifts and talents that God has blessed us with.
We like to use the word "journey" in the context of the Christian life, and therefore we look to the future with the faith and expectation that has always been part of our history.
